ホテルについて ANOUT THE HOTEL
コンセプト CONCEPT
Providing a comfortable place to stay that blends traditional Japanese sensibilities with modern architecture
Featuring lacquered fixtures and furnishings, precious lacquered wood furniture, stylish and subdued lighting, soft and comfortable bedding, and luxury amenities that you’ll love. All this comes together to provide an inviting atmosphere.
Rare furniture featuring lacquer work over precious woods
Japanese-style modern design is frequently being used in the design of residences today, but there are fewer artisans engaging in the complex restoration and preservation of lacquer today. Our hotel has a unique advantage in this space.

ABOUT
KAMANZA
Located near Nijo Castle and the Imperial Palace, the site gives you a glimpse of Kyoto’s history and style.
Kyoto Kamanza Hotel is located at Kamanza-Nijo, the center of Kyoto. Nearby you will find many historic Kyoto shrines and temples, as well as excellent access to other destinations to let you get the most out of your stay.
Start at the Kyoto Prefectural Office and take Kamanza-dori through a tea district
Kamanza-dori spans 1.2km north to south from Shimotachiuri-dori to Sanjo-dori. Between Shimotachiuri-dori and Marutamachi-dori is the front of the Kyoto Prefectural Office, a wide road lined with trees. This road did not originally exist in ancient Kyoto; it was created later by Toyotomi Hideyoshi during reforms of the city. Starting in the Heian period, the Sanjo-Kamanza area was where artisans working with cast metal congregated, and the tea pots (“kama”) they produced gave the area its name.
